Boating and fishing in the Everglades National Park has additional rules and guidelines to follow along with the State of Florida Regulations and rules. Be sure to do your homework before coming to the 10,000 Islands to do some Everglades fishing. Below are some helpful links and information when planning your trip.
Everglades City is surrounded on three sides by the Everglades National Park. We are located on the western part of the park, which is all water based.
All National Parks have an entry fee. If you are stopped by a Park Ranger while boating or fishing in the National Park you will be asked to show your Park Pass.
As a boat operator, you are now required to have an Everglades Boater Education Certificate to drive a boat in the Park. This is a free course, and you will be asked for proof of completion if stopped by a Park Ranger while boating in the National Park.
